I’ve never been a fan of cordless phones because they are “buzzy” and the talk range is limited.  A friend suggested I try the new Panasonic KX-TG9333T DECT 6 three handset system and boy am I glad I made that buy!


The keen thing about the Panasonic KX-TG9333T system is its use of “Dect 6” and here’s the blurp explaining that technology:

DECT 6.0 (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) technology lets you move freely around your home with long range and amazingly clear sound.

It also assures greater protection against eavesdropping for all your calls.

Operating in the 1.9GHz frequency range, your phone will not conflict with other wireless devices such as computer routers, wireless keyboards, microwave ovens and other common household devices.

I confess I was suspicious of the technology, but my experience over the last two weeks has made me a believer in this phone system.  There’s no buzzing.  I have tons of wireless things roaming in and around my home and I can make a phone call on my Panasonic phones and not have one bit of trouble.

I recommend this phone system without reservation.  I bought the system with my own money.  There are no links to purchase the system in this review.  I share because I care.  I have no vested interest in recommending this system to you.

  • I can also program each handset individually to ring — or not. 
  • I can go into “Night Mode” so my phones won’t ring while I sleep and I can choose which handsets to “sleep” or not.
  • The Caller ID “voicing” is just a little creepy — but supremely useful when you’re across the room because my phone actually tells me in a robotic voice the number or name of the person calling me.
  • I can also block any phone number from ringing my phone.

The Panasonic KX-TG9333T system seamlessly works with my Comcast Digital Voice service.  If someone leaves me a Digital Voice message on my Comcast account, all my phone handsets flash amber — alerting me to waiting voice mail.

If you want a great phone system for around a hundred dollars, you can’t go wrong with the three-handset, Panasonic KX-TG9333T package.

    The phone system uses a computerized “voice” to announce all your callers. When I call myself, my name is announced as “Bold, Davod.” Funny! It’s clear enough to understand, though.

    My first generation cordless handset here at home was a Panasonic – it was obscenely expensive, excessively bulky but the range was just too good to believe!
    So is the current one – it has a much slicker look and with tons of features (which my mother doesn’t even bother to understand – she is happy as long as she can receive the call wherever she is…!) – but the quality and range is equally good.
    I don’t remember the model number but wonder if “Panasonic” just makes good cordless handsets?

    Yes, Panasonic has been the king of home telephone systems for at least the last 15 years. Everyone I know in the “electronics community” swears by the brand and their online reviews for all their systems are always glowing. You really can’t go wrong!
