Gibson have created a fantastic new acoustic Blues guitar called the “Bluesmaster” to honor the great Keb’ Mo’.

The blues was born as an acoustic music, and its roots still run deep in that direction today. No artist embraces this ethos more than Keb’ Mo’, whose post-modern blues stylings stretch to fully electric blues, jazz, and R&B, while constantly referencing the Delta-fried, acoustic-fueled music that forms the beating heart of his inspiration.

Now Gibson Acoustic honors this three-time Grammy Award Winner with the Keb’ Mo’ Bluesmaster, a flat-top acoustic guitar made in the tradition of the great small-bodied Gibson blues boxes, with the added versatility of a built-in L.R. Baggs Element pickup with soundhole-mounted volume control, and available in a strictly Limited Edition of 300 guitars.

The Bluesmaster is a celebratory guitar and it is a delight that Gibson is so forwardly honoring the great Blues tradition in the acoustic form.

The Bluesmaster lists for $4,000.00USD, but will we be lucky enough to find one for a street price under $3,000.00USD?  We can only keep hoping!

    The guitar is too expensive, Gordon. Yes, it is a limited edition, but the price is just too high. Gibson sets super high prices on all their stuff for some reason and they never really put their guitars on sale. Fender raised their prices 25% across the board a year ago — but they at least have a sale every now and then for 10-20% off.
