From January 10-16, 2009, the incredible Gordon Davidescu and I published 50 new articles — you’re reading number fifty right now —  in the Boles Blogs Network!  That is an incredible and unbelievable new publication record that didn’t happen by chance or circumstance.  Gordon wrote 13 network blog articles and one Go Inside Magazine article and I wrote the rest.

Here’s the story of how we got here:  In late December, we added four new blogs to the network:  the Boles University Blog, Celebrity Semiotic — both blogs were hosted elsewhere the first on Blogger, the second on Live Spaces.

Then we added two all-new blogs.  United Stage become a blog instead of a website and Boles Blues became something of a music site out of nothing.

I was able to import pre-existing content for both the Boles University Blog and Celebrity Semiotic — so we had two new blogs that we wanted to get “caught up” content-wise with the other, more established, blogs.

We set a goal of around 60 new blog articles each for both United Stage and Boles Blues — and for the last two weeks we have been hustling to write interesting and provocative content and commentary.

We are now almost at equity with the two new blogs.  Right now they each have 56 published articles and they both have a strong foundation in theatre and music.

In a week or so, we will begin to write again across the entire Boles Blogs Network to keep the content fresh across all the sites — and we thank you for reading!

On Friday after I finished that Go Inside article I got a rush of excitement. It was one of the best feelings ever. We raise the bar for ourselves and then break on through! 🙂

You did a great job, Gordon. You wrote in-depth articles that were interesting and thought-provoking. Well done! It was a tiring, but exciting, week of writing and publishing!

We had a hard time catching up, too. We had no plan to write 50. It just turned out that way. On Friday, Gordon gave me his final, impressive, article count and that inspired me to go back and count how many we had published overall.
