There were once Three Blind Mice: Boehner, Cantor and McConnell; and they all hated that mighty HepCat-n-Chief Obama.

Three blind mice, three blind mice,

They all ran after the farmer’s wife,
Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,
Did you ever see such a thing in your life,
As three blind mice?

All three meeces chasing a tailless powercat with a righteous paper trail.

“It’s not my job to tell the American people what to think,” Boehner said, “The American people have the right to think what they want to think.”

It’s their job to negotiate the terms of a woman’s womb.

Appearing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Cantor refused to call people who question Obama’s citizenship “crazy,” saying it’s not nice to call anyone crazy.

It’s their job to question, and then flay, the public good.

“The president says he’s a Christian. I take him at his word,” said McConnell, in a carefully worded remark that raised eyebrows nationwide.

It’s their job to prick the president like a dog.

Three Blind Mice — Boehner, Cantor and McConnell — or are they, more truly, the Three Little Pigs?
