We need a fair and sustainable national healthcare system in the United States. People are suffering while insurance companies, hospitals, and other animated fat cats reap the benefits from the weak and infirm while the families of the sick line up for bankruptcy court.
It was incredibly refreshing yesterday — during the national prayer breakfast — when President Obama made room for the Godless in the manic realm of a national, religious, fervor and reinforced the necessary separation of church and state.

As our society shapes itself around speedier and speedier flows of information – some of it useful, some of it not, much of it with only entertainment value – it could be that our legal frameworks, both sides of the Atlantic, will see developments that entail a ‘democratisation’ of democracy itself.
