Quite frequently when people engage in political arguments, they get increasingly aggressive. At some point they almost always use an analogy that is so completely useless and yet overused that when it is used online it has been memeingfully associated with a name — Godwin’s Law — which states that the longer an argument goes on online, the more likely that someone will invoke a Nazi analogy.

FedEx Fs-Up iPhone 4S Delivery!

Oh, yeah, I’m mad!  Steaming!  Burning!  Janna and I preordered two iPhone 4S last week ago from Verizon for delivery today, and everything was going great so far — that is — until a curious FedEx delivery exception appeared on BOTH iPhone tracking pages at 11:52am this morning when the phones were supposed to arrive by 3:00pm.

Beating Cervical Cancer with Vinegar

My brother used to play this song for me after which a bonus section would play — the band being The Swirlies and the song being Wrong Tube from the album Blonder Tongue Audio Baton — their discography is freely downloadable from their site — about how interesting it would be if it turned out that the cure to extremely distressing diseases and cancer came from seemingly bizarre combinations, like twigs from the Brazillian rainforest mixed with Mountain Dew. I have been a life long advocate of more natural remedies, stemming from the fact that my mother subscribed to Prevention magazine as long as I could remember and we were always taken to homeopathic and natural doctors in addition to the more traditional doctors — both were consulted before decisions were made.

Beyonce’s Fake Baby Bump and Her Real Stealing

Beyonce is having a bad week.  She recently appeared on television and her “baby bump” appears to be just as fake as Sarah Palin’s before her.  I guess Beyonce wanted to pretend she is as pregnant with her own child as is her surrogate in her stead?

Kill Laugh Tracks!

There are some innovations on television that have overstayed their welcome by a long shot and need to go away. I was reminded of one of these innovations recently when I read a harsh critique of the new Zoey Deschanel sitcom, New Girl. One of the reasons the author gave to hate the show was the lack of a laugh track in the show.
