What is wrong with Vern Yip, and why is he being such a bitch? I hate using the “b-word” — but sometimes there is the perfect time and place for its employment and now is one of those times. We first grew to know and love Vern on “Trading Spaces.” He was the best designer on that show, and we admired his caring for people and his brilliance in design.
Every Day Proves Itself. That is my mantra. Yesterday doesn’t matter. Tomorrow never arrives. Today, this moment, that instant — the notion of the immediate now — is the prime drive of the day.
Waiting at the intersection of Broadway and 96th, on the south-west corner, a perfectly anonymous man (he thinks) takes a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket. He flips it on one end and gently taps it, to pack the tobacco more tightly and therefore get an ever slightly longer lasting cigarette. He then opens up the pack and pulls the top of the foil lining from inside. Having done so, he proceeds to toss the seemingly useless piece of paper onto the sidewalk about one and a half feet from a trash can.

Anyway, life is good. I love my new me. I have really been working on improving who I am so that I can look in the mirror and be proud of me and who I am becoming. I no longer fix dinners. I relax after work in my recliner.
