CUNY — The City University of New York — is a unique institution dedicated to teaching “regular people” really great things at a highly affordable, yet sophisticated, intellectual level. If you have a high school diploma, or an equivalent degree, a CUNY college is required to accept you as a student.
Last night was the quietest Fourth of July can I remember. There were no sonic booms or bangs or bashes or even bops.
In a delightful — and necessary — sign of a furious protest, students in New Jersey left their classrooms yesterday and took to the streets to reject the absolute decimation of their schools by newly elected governor Chris Christie. Christie cut $820 million from the schools in an effort to keep a campaign promise to reduce spending. The protest was inspired by, and directed through, a Facebook movement to fight back against an unfair budget axe.

In addition to the awful reality that One Act Plays are ruining the Modern Theatre,
one set plays are killing off any and all theatrical design aesthetic and that deathly trend cannot die soon enough.
The first casualty of any budget war is children. New York State is currently making each and every employee prove that each and every child getting healthcare on the state plan actually and legally belongs to a state employee.
