Longtime readers of this — David Boles, Blogs — publication machine know I have always held a deep-rooted hatred of Wikipedia because of its provocative, and well-documented, willy-nilly publication history, and its ongoing stigma of defacing, and not defending, the public record; and now, after my page was recently deleted, my original notions about Wikipedia stand in even harder evidence today.
I used to be a big LinkedIn fan as recently as November 7, 2008. As of a few moments ago, I now loathe LinkedIn. Here’s why: LinkedIn deleted my profile image because the image was not an image of me. It was an image of my business logo. Here’s their removal letter that just hit my Inbox:
No response and no indication of life: Deleted and forgotten.
Apple has set forth upon us a bad iPhone 3G — and if you dare to complain about it — or find ways to hope to deal with the matter on the official Apple forums… you will be silenced with the deletion of your discussion thread.
