Apple Watch Series 3 and White Noise Elevated Heart Rate Notifications

I am loving my new Black Stainless Steel LTE Apple Watch Series 3. I bought the first Apple Watch, skipped the second series, and now updated to get the wireless LTE connection with Verizon. One of the new features of the Apple Watch Series 3 is to track your heart rate to alert you when your heart rate is abnormally elevated so you can take action to calm down, or to seek medical attention.

Imagine my dismay to learn I had over 41 elevated heart rate notifications over a two day period! I was never alerted to those multiple notifications, and I was concerned!

That Ringing in Your Ears is the Music of Your Mind

We have a horrible new neighbor living above us, and she’s young and preppy and VERY LOUD!  She bangs things on her wood floor/our ceiling all day and all night long.  She walks heavy on her heels back and forth and back again.  She drags her furniture across her wood floor/our ceiling that creates fingernails-on-chalkboard by osmosis.

I have taken to using earplugs when she’s at her most obnoxious and the earplugs do seem to filter out the precise range of her banging on our heads to make her terrorism from above us sort of tolerable.  I’ll leave the whole injustice of, “Why should I have to wear earplugs all day long so I can’t hear you being obnoxious?” question for another day.

The In Situ Strings Stretch Technique and How to NOT Stretch Your Guitar Strings

As a burgeoning — bludgeoning? — Bending Blues Guitarist, I am shocked, SHOCKED!, by the bad advice and the rotten technique I witness on the internets, and on YouTube, demonstrating the wrong way to properly stretch a new set of guitar strings.

Rhythm as Reading

One of the greatest warming trends technological advancements present to the world is helping the disabled lead a better and more productive life.  Once the disabled have been served, then the average-bodied among us are able to reap the benefits of the advancements in favor of the human condition.  First, we had Bluetooth breadcrumbs for the Blind; now we have a rhythmic touch screen with Braille bumps for the Blind.
