If you could swap your gender for one year only would you do it or not? If yes, why? If not, why not?

  1. Changing body. I wonder if that means changing sexual preference too. I’m not sure how my boyfriend would react to this.

  2. I don’t know. I mean if he really loved me it wouldn’t matter what gender I was right? Or am I only my gender?

  3. I would definitely do it, I’m so curious what it’s like having a penis. Hey maybe that is what I’ll ask for the Holidays.

  4. soos — Are you only your gender? How does religion, society and the law view gender? Equally?
Robin — Having a penis is like having a magic wand — you can kill or heal with it. The trouble comes with the attached testis because that’s where all the drama is made!

  5. I am not my gender but I sure do identify with it and I sure to attract the opposite with it. If I swap it it seems I’d swap everything I am.

  6. Yeah I’m a little nervous about the balls…they seem to be a lot of trouble. I would however love to see a guy have to live as a woman…now that would be funny 😆

  7. soos — You only swap everything you are if you only define yourself through your gender.
Robin — I wonder if more women would want to be men than men as women?

  8. That’s a good point. I suppose if people really loved me, they would accept my swap or at least wait for me for a year to swap back.

  9. That’s a good question.
I asked my boyfriend and he said he’d like to try out being a woman but he’s always had a nice feminine side. I mean now all the things he likes wouldn’t seem so weird like bracelets and nail polish.

  10. Robin — I wonder if it helps the swap if you already have a transgender first name.

It would be really interesting for couples to agree to do the swap together! That would be really helpful in understanding the other person!

  11. True, that is helpful.
I think Erik and I would have a great time with it but it could in the end make things really confusing.

  12. I’d switch to see what it would be like.
Would we have a choice of what type of body we’d switch into?
If that was an option, it would be fun to see what a drop-dead gorgeous female experiences in life. To go through such a change and be average would be a let down.
The normal average every day man and woman goes through the same challenges. I’d be better to amplify the experience by being super feminine (or for the ladies, being super masculine).
I don’t know if I’d be able to handle all of the extra attention I bet women get thoughout the normal course of the day. I suspect that I’d be glad to switch back to being a guy after the experience.

  13. Hi Chris!
Yes, you can choose your body type and hair color and measurements.
I like your attempt to go for the super-fem line — that would certainly be an interesting approach to take!
Women — especially the ultra-pretty standard — get a lot of attention and a lot of unwanted lusting. That must be a hard and fine line to traverse without ticking anyone one off — male OR female — while still living an honorable and helpful life. I think women have it doubly harder than men in our current situation in America and women in other countries have an even tougher circumstance by a factor of ten!

  14. Nope, I’d rather not change. Even though I do occasionally gripe about some of the female aspects that are a pain in the ass, I do like being a woman.
There’s nothing about a man that I’m so curious about that I’d want to become one to know. I think I can learn all I need to know from where I am now. 😀

  15. Not for a whole year no, maybe a week or even or a month, but a year seems like an awful long time to be a bloke

  16. Carla — Men are pretty shallow, I admit. I admire you for refusing to give up your complexity!
Bec — It’s a year or nothing! 😉 Are you in or out?

  17. So,you could switch bodies?I dont mean to sound like a per**** but id like to be a girl for a day.Sorry if thats offensive ladies:)

  18. Switching gender? For one year?? Interesting question David!
At first my normal reaction was – “Nope…not me! I am not going to lose the “me” of my personality!”
Then I realized, that was just change resistance! If I get the opportunity – I will do it – just to experience the change!

  19. It would be cool but differnt… Im only a kid so I’d be freaked out being same age or even older O_O… Weird.

    — Well, If she’s up for it, so am I. Let the swap begin! one year to see what it’s like. I will volenteer for this if she would. It would be very enjoyable. And also a better understanding of women. notify me if your interested! I’m perfectly fine and healthy, How would she find it in a tall (Six foot) dark (with sky blue eyes) and handsome guy’s body for a year?
    To be continued…

  21. Right, it isn’t gonna be possible with Katha, Anthony. Let’s leave her alone from now on, okay? I deleted your other messages because they became Spam when you posted the same thing over and over again.

  22. well hey id deffinately become a woman for a year because it would help me understand what women like/ and or go through it would be an experience

  23. Why not and see whats it really like to be a woman and all that its about. It sure would give a great deal in insite in understanding the oppisite sex.

  28. I THINK ME BEING A MAN FOR A YEAR WOULD BE AMAZING ESPECIALLY TO FIND OUT WHAT MAKING LOVE IS LIKE FOR A MAN I MEAN HAVING THAT CONTROL OVER A WOMAN WHILE MAKING LOVE WOULD BE COOL.

  30. I would definitely be interested in switching bodies and becoming a woman for a year. I think there’s a lot to be learned, and honestly it’s something I’ve been curious about for a long time. I somewhat suspect more men would be interested in becoming women than vice versa … but perhaps that says more about my own subconscious gender stereotypes than it actually reflects reality. And quite honestly, I’d rather spend time as a very average woman — not a drop-dead gorgeous supermodel. I’d be mostly interested in understanding, from a first-person perspective, what the average woman subjectively feels and thinks and lives. I’d happily swap in a second! (any takers?) …

  31. I’ve always wanted to be a girl I mean they get more atention than boys unless your popular but i would rather go my whole life as as woman

  32. you may want to swap sexes but what about your family and your friends and maybe your crush :ooh la la:

  33. Hell ya I would I don’t want it forever but for a year I would be soooooo happy! I want that mor then anything!
