Evidence now clearly points out the fact that as early as eleven months ago, BP was aware of a possible problem with the well casing and blowout preventer mechanism parts of their offshore oil drills — precisely the problems that occurred that lead to what is now the biggest oil spill disaster in the history of the United States. The recently announced cancellation of uber terror show, 24 — after eight, long, years — indicates the positive, rising, tide we are feeling once again in the USA. The Boogeyman is dead, the faux superhero is no longer necessary, and bad drama has finally been put to rest.
Last night, the United States House of Representatives — led by the vibrant Nancy Pelosi — made history in passing the first comprehensive healthcare bill. Republicans — who unanimously oppose universal healthcare — have mocked the program as “ObamaCare” yet history will prove “ObamaCare” will be the greatest legacy a President had gifted a nation since FDR and the New Deal in 1932.
We live in a New Age. Technology not only runs our lives, it rules our being and ruins our sense of comprehensive societal cohesion. Has access to the internet become a fundamental human right? If so, should we have to pay for that right of access?
Who decided newly elected presidents have only one year of “blaming their predecessor” for the failures of the country and then, after a 12-month grace period, they “own” everything that’s on fire around them? That’s a ridiculous notion based in fantasy and not hardened by reality.
