Optional: Chopped pecans or walnuts |
1 large can yams
1 jar caramel topping (found in ice cream section)
1 stick butter
marshmallows to cover the top |
Directions: |
- Drain, then put yams in a baking dish. If desired, stir in 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts. Pour caramel topping over the top. Add the butter in slices over the top of the caramel.

- Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until hot and bubbly. Add marshmallows on the top, then bake until brown and melted.

- Variation: Cook caramel and butter in a saucepan until candied before pouring over yams.
