How Sarah Palin Can Win the Presidency

The Sarah Palin email redactions bombed — we knew they would, because they were an edited and scripted dump of trivial communiqués created to persuade and sway and not reveal the full, transparent, truth of her rotting Alaska governorship.  The fact remains that Sarah Palin is still a powerful political and emotional force in America, and we must not discount her danger to our open society.

The Times on Torture

The Bush administration’s love and support of torture in the wake of 9/11 will become their indelible legacy long after all the Bush cronies are dead in the ground.  Bush couldn’t get away with a torture policy all on his own, though.  Bush had to have help.  He had a lot of help from the mainstream media, including perennial “liberal bogeyman” for “The Hard Right” — The New York Times — who played coy with using the word “torture” in their reporting even though torture is precisely what the Bush administration was doing. The Ground Zero Mosque: The Bigger of Us, the Better of Us

Fox are bashing Muslims again.  I guess it wasn’t enough to demonize the religion on their television shows “Lie to Me” and “24” and so they are now the major force behind the movement to ban a mosque at Ground Zero.

Clinton as a Dubya Handi Wipe

We are all quite familiar with Dubya’s memorable moments in office as he flipped us off on camera — but there is a new firestorm afoot under the former president’s thumb — and it all has to do with how he used his new best friend Bill Clinton as a human Handi Wipe.

Underpants on a Plane

President Obama stepped forward yesterday and took personal responsibility for the failure to stop the “underwear bomber” from getting on the plane.
