The Shameful Deceit of Corn Sugar

When something is so bad that just the mention of the name of that thing makes people shiver with disgust, what is the best thing for the people associated with that thing to do? Change the name of that thing to make it sound like something completely different, of course? Let’s say you run a billion dollar company that most people associated with killing millions of people through tobacco products. I am referring to Philip Morris, of course. What do you do if you run this bad name company? Change it to Altria, of course.

Cooking with Matcha

I love pure Matcha green tea.  A Matcha blend is okay, but the real stuff, the really great stuff — is in the natural, Matcha powdered green tea.  I dump some of that poofy Matcha into a glass of cold water, or a cup of boiled water, and stir and then sip — and I’m in a completely different state of mind:  Calm, collected and insightful.

Quitting Meat to Save the World

I don’t have very many strong memories of being in first grade. I was barely seven years old, after all. I do remember that there was a large sign by the door with various ideas for helping to do our part to conserve resources — water, electricity, etc. There was one thing on the sign that I did not see and that was to not eat meat.
