Have you noticed a creeping rise in Image Spam flooding your Inbox?
Image Spam is the newest wave of Spam where the Spammers send you a text image selling sex pills and penis extenders and such that looks like text but the Spam is really an image file pretending to be typed text. Sometimes some innocuous real text is included with the image to trick Spam filters that may be looking for small image-only emails.
This isn’t another Mr. Grumpy Goes Blogging entry — this is a call out to all the sane minds of the world as we witness the decline of blogging before our eyes. Have you noticed over the last couple of months the writing quality of newer blogs is awful?
Is this a new phenomenon or have most blogs always been a horrible read peppered with bad grammar, atrocious spelling, poor sentence structure and a lack of a clearly structured argument augmented with verifiable facts and creative logic?
I realize 70,000 new blogs a day begs a certain inbred lack of quality and content, but the blogs I am trying to read are illegible. If you can recommend a few new blogs promoting a fine writing effort with fresh posts and comments published every day, please let me know where I can find them. If you want to identify one of “The Awful Blogs” for us to visit, we’d love to mark the record on that front, too!

This post was originally titled, The Why I Do Not Comment On Other Blogs Manifesto, but it seemed a little precious and pretentious — and I try to save all my pretension and preciousness for the content of my posts and not waste them on the title — so I chose to call this post I am My Own Whore because it has a puckish ring of the ugly truth.
In my post Please Adjust your RSS Feeds, my fellow bloggers and I discussed a discussion that I have had at least 10 times here in the last month and in email and on other blogs when I am asked, sometimes in a roundabout way, but usually in a direct manner: Why don’t you post comments on my blog?
